Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix
All of your favourite Rainbow Riches features in one slot! Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix is what happens when designers run out of ideas; or they go to work for Bell Fruit.
Using the best features from a range of previous Rainbow Riches games, Pick and Mix allows from one to three features to be selected and played on a standard Rainbow Riches reel based screen. All of the popular features are here; Pots of Gold, Free Spins, Fields of Gold, Leprechauns and Mushrooms. The Wishing Wells are missing, but they were mostly useless anyway, so what remains are certainly the most enjoyable.
At the start of the game, Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix lets you pick up to three features, however you can just pick one or two, this will then increase the odds of landing that feature during the game. Selecting Free Spins is similar, but not identical to Rainbow Riches Free Spins, as the bonus symbols are not wilds during the base game as they are in the original, however once the bonus starts, these symbols do also act as wilds.
Selecting the Pots of Gold makes the pots available on all of the five reels, in much the same way as Pure Pots. The other features all appear to behave the same as their original versions, with Fields of Gold only been available on the centre three reels.
Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix
Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix has very nice large, clear icons which makes playing the game more immersive than its older counterparts. The gamble feature has also changed, for the worse in my opinion. You can select the odds, but only between three, and these are fixed with a 66%, 50% and 33% chance of winning.
Originally launched on Ladbrokes betting terminals, Rainbow Riches Pick and Mix is now available in Coral and many arcades and motorway service stations. It’s not currently available online, but the original slot machine is available here.
Like many other progressive pot slot machines, if you have a choice, play the ones with the highest pot values. This won’t increase your odds on winning the pot, but it will increase the prize should you win.
Selecting one feature increases the odds of landing that feature, so you could take advantage of high pots and select only the Pots of Gold then play at £1 stake until you get it (or run out of money). I’ve had mixed results with this method, but it’s not too bad.
If you have a choice between Rainbow Riches Free Spins or selecting only the Free Spins bonus, you would be better to play the aforementioned slot as the bonus symbols act as wilds. Both games are currently available on the Ladbrokes betting terminals, and on most arcade slot terminals.
